
What exactly is cider ?
Cider is fermented apple juice.
At Cidre Séhédic, we truly treasure each of our apples, and the juice we extract from them.
Each step of our process follows one and unique guideline : respect the fruit and enhance each subtle flavor the juices can reveal.
Each one of our ciders is :
Pure Juice : no water nor whatsoever else is added, just 100% apple juice.
Naturally sparkling : the thin bubbles come from the fermentation itself, nothing else, we don’t add gaz to our ciders.
Slowly fermented : our juices are cooled in Charmat tanks, which is the best way to enhance the aromas revealed by the conjoint work of the yeast and the juice, and thus preserve their complexity.
Alive : our ciders are not pasteurized, our juices do not go through any heating process, indeed, high temperatures can ruin some natural subtle aromas.
Coming from a rich orchard : our Kertoban orchard has 9000 apple trees, and we have 35 different cider apple varieties.
Organic : we are certified Organic since 2005.
